ARUP cares about its employees and provides a generous, award-winning benefits package. Nearly all the benefits start from day one, and most are extended toward the employee’s registered domestic partner as well as his/her spouse and dependants.

All health benefits begin on the first day of employment; there is no waiting period for medical insurance.

  • Free state-of-the-art primary care health services including immunizations, chronic disease management, pediatric care, women’s and men’s health, orthopaedic, dermatologic care, minor procedures and many other areas of preventive care
  • Low-cost health insurance  
  • Low-cost dental insurance and vision-service plan
  • On-site Wellness Center, open 24/7, which houses a gym with cardio equipment, weight machines, and free weights, and offers fitness classes several times per day
  • Long-term sick leave, which accrues from day one for a maximum of
    90 days
  • Flexible spending (cafeteria) plan for medical reimbursement and
    dependent-care expenses

  • 403(b), 457(b), and Roth 403(b) plans—ARUP contributes up to 8.1 percent of employee’s income from day one (regardless of whether employee contributes or not); employee can contribute an additional 80 percent of pre-tax/after-tax earnings
  • Profit-sharing plan in the form of an annual, discretionary contribution to employee’s 403(b) plan after six months of employment
  • Quarterly incentive bonus program after six months of employment
  • Social Security tax (6.2 percent) exemption (optional)—offers greater control over financial future and retirement planning
  • Long-term disability plan for disabilities lasting longer than 90 days
    (covers up to 70 percent of pre-disability earnings)

  • Employees are elligible for up to $2000 per year ($8000 lifetime)

  • Dependents are elligible for up to $1000 per year ($4000 lifetime)

  • Certain medical programs reimbursed at 100 percent

  • Paid time off accrues from day one for a total of 17 days the first year, maxing out at 30 days per year
