Twenty-sixth Annual Summer Update in Clinical Immunology, Microbiology,
and Infectious Diseases

This symposium provides a review and update in the areas of clinical immunology, microbiology, and infectious diseases, aiming to improve knowledge about the pathogenesis and clinical manifestations of infectious diseases; immunological mechanisms of disease and disease prevention; appropriate approaches to the diagnosis of infectious and immunologic disorders; and the utilization of the clinical microbiology and immunology laboratory, including selection and interpretation of results.
This course will provide a forum for the exchange of ideas dealing with microbial infections as well as immunity to infectious diseases and immunologic disorders. Faculty consists of clinicians involved in patient care, pathologists, and clinical laboratory scientists.

Annual Winter Update in Clinical and Laboratory Medicine
March 3–7, 2008
Park City, Utah
Held in March at The Canyons in Park City, Utah, this five-day review and update in the areas of clinical chemistry, immunology, microbiology, and molecular medicine is intended to improve knowledge about the pathologenesis and clinical manifestations of a wide variety of metabolic, infectious, immunologic, and genetic disorders, along with the selection, performance, and interpretation of clinical laboratory tests.

Annual Surgical Pathology Workshop

Held every January in Park City, Utah, this five-day course consists of short lectures and case-oriented discussions led by distinguished faculty from the University of Utah and guest presenters. This workshop is designed to simulate the daily activities of the surgical pathologist. The educational and informal format allows participants to review case studies, including performing a microscopic examination and formulating a diagnosis and patient management stategy.Cases are selected to represent common and/or difficult diagnostic problems.
